Expansion of our premises in Herefordshire

We are pleased to announce that over the past three months we have completed several more improvements around our yard.

Amongst the improvements we have fitted a new mezzanine floor in one of our warehouses, providing an additional  2000 square feet of first floor storage for furniture, doors and other fragile items. We have also completed a big reorganisation of our stock to make the layout more efficient and items more accessible.

In addition our muddy storage yard has been ripped up and replaced with concrete. We have fitted further pallet racking and have found a permanent site for our new stone saw.

These improvements come in response to a growing need for more storage space for our large collection of architectural antiques and to improve public access for our open day held at the end of June.

We have already had much positive feedback form customers, many of whom could not believe how neat and tidy our site is!

We have also just adopted our first logo, a griffin, known in mythology for guarding treasure and priceless possessions.

Bath sees one more campaign at Salvo Fair 2011

Our Victorian traveling bath still has some mileage left in its wheels, having toured the globe at the height of the British Empire; it made one more campaign at the Salvo Fair this June. Travelling over a hundred miles from our premises in Herefordshire, a fairly short journey compared to its more adventurous history, this time it joined us in our own Campaign; our first exhibition at the Salvo fair in the grounds of Knebworth House. Its unusual appearance on wheels attracted much attention at the fair, alternate uses where a constant topic throughout the weekend; from an elaborate ice bucket, to a fish pond, garden seat and dog carrier, this baths’ uses seemed to intrigue the British imagination.

The Campaign bath was not the only success at the fair. Our first visit to Knebworth was too, profiting from the warm weather and good numbers of visitors, we did a good trade.

With our large marquee we were able to bring with us a diverse selection of our stock ranging from fire surrounds to doors and mirrors, we sold amongst other items a couple of our fireplaces and a settee. The Salvo Fair was as much about promoting our name, ethos and Website as it was the sales, handing out flyers along with an invitation to our open day which was to be held at our premises the following weekend. What impressed so many visitors over the weekend were the quantity, quality and ease of access to our stock on online

Overall, the Salvo Fair 2011 was a great success for UK Architectural Heritage and we look forward to the 2012 fair.
