This was reclaimed form a Knightsbridge hotel following closure in 2006. The staircase was designed in the Georgian Country House style and constructed to the highest standard. We have reclaimed the spindles, handrail, newels and the half handrail and newels from the opposite side. There are no treads or risers.
We understand this staircase went up to the third floor; there is a large amount of components that could be used in many different configurations. The handrail is solid Mahogany with many hand carved curves and details. Height , width 9.. Lengths up to 2.5 meters.
The spindles are of two main types and come in three principal sizes. There are around 164 in total. They are turned pine with at least two coats of paint. The newels are also solid Mahogany. Sixteen in total, height 76. Diameter . Each with a hand carved capital.Sold as one lot.
